Build strength off the apparatus with cross training that supports your aerial practice!
“I highly recommend Verity’s program if you are looking to compliment your aerial training with a whole body program fit for any starting fitness level.” - Caitlin
Welcome to Aerial Strong: An 8 week self paced program teaching you how to cross train for your aerial so that you can, build lasting strength and mobility, achieve the skills you want, and help prevent injury.
This program will help you build full body strength off the apparatus, so that you can thrive in your aerial practice. It’s 8 weeks of strength training that takes into consideration the specific needs of an aerialist. If you ever felt that cross training and fitness seemed complicated, this program gives you a simple approach to building the strength you need in order to achieve the aerial skills that you want.
So what makes this program special?
Aerial Strong has been tested by over 50 aerialists with a range of backgrounds and experience to make sure it’s the best possible program for the people it’s designed for. They shared weekly feedback so that I could adapt, adjust and improve the programming, and I’ve also been able to hear first hand how it’s helped their aerial!
It can feel like the only option is to follow a fitness program in order to cross train, and while there are a lot of good fitness programs out there, most don’t take into account the specific needs of an aerialist. I’ve taken my experience in fitness and personal training, and combined that with my years of experience coaching aerial. Aerial Strong is the program you’ve been looking for to build strength in your whole body to improve your aerial.
How Does It work?
Aerial Strong is an 8 week self paced program, allowing you to work through it at your pace. It includes lower body strength and mobility exercises, locomotion, pushing exercises, pulling exercises, plus core and compression, and flexibility.
Each week you have the option of 2 or 3 training sessions depending on what will work best for your schedule. This flexibility is to ensure you avoid overtraining, and so that the program can be safely done alongside your existing aerial practice.
Within each training session you’ll have warm up with mobility and locomotion, train strength drills, condition and cool down with stretches. Each session is approximately 45-60 minutes. You also have the option of choosing sets, reps and time depending on how you’re feeling so you can adjust the intensity of the training sessions.
What results can I expect?
Aerial Strong does what it says on the tin; it will help you to build strength specifically for your aerial. It’s also an educational program, designed to give you a better understanding of cross-training, programming, and utilising traditional strength and conditioning to help you work towards you goals.
You’ll be able to build strength off the apparatus in a safe and progressive way, and with programming that doesn’t take away from you aerial training. You’ll be able to see if you have any areas that need more work and attention, and iron out imbalances.
You’ll also build more confidence in your body, as you’ll know it will be ready to cope with the demands placed on it with aerial. If there’s a skill you’ve been struggling to unlock, if you feel like you’ve hit a plateau, if you have been unsure about how to improve your chances of preventing injury, this program is designed to help with this.
The program is fully online, and you can access it from any device with an internet connection.
Every video tutorial includes demos and detailed cues, as well as examples of how to progress a movement to make it easier, so you have plenty of options to train based on the level you’re at
Programming is clearly laid out, and each tutorial has key movement cues written next to it
The program includes printable program charts to help you keep track of progress and learn how to rate perceived effort of each exercise
Everything progresses at a safe pace to make sure that you’re building strength and mobility in a way that won’t cause injury or interfere with your aerial
This is a repeatable program, so you really are getting more than just 8 weeks - you can repeat it with harder progressions and heavier weight to keep building strength!
“This program helped me establish a habit to cross train off apparatus and I love the simplicity and consistency in the exercises!” - Anonymous
